It's impossible to stop unwanted calls and unwanted faxes without a call screening device, but being proactive and broadcasting your intentions to the telemarketing industry is a method of reinforcing your choice for privacy.

Below are states that have either proposed or active Do Not Call lists. If you can register with your state of residence, there are a number of reasons why you will continue to receive unsolicited calls from telemarketers, survey, charitable and political organizations.

By placing your name on the proper list, you will be sending a message to statewide commercial telemarketers that you do not wish to receive unsolicited telephone calls from within your state of residence.
